Drying is a measured process
Ask which materials are being checked and how progress will be recorded. A provider may adjust equipment and access based on the conditions. A fixed number of drying days cannot be promised from a photograph or room size alone.
Thermal imaging and moisture checks
Thermal imaging can help locate temperature patterns that warrant further investigation; it is not proof of moisture by itself. Ask whether observations are confirmed using appropriate moisture measurements and how findings guide the scope.
Cabinet and vanity drying
Cabinet bases, enclosed spaces and adjoining walls can need separate assessment. Ask whether the materials can be retained, how access will be obtained and whether disassembly or replacement is part of the work. Do not assume every cabinet can be saved.
Dehumidification, odors and completion
Ask how the provider decides when equipment can be removed and whether persistent odors require further investigation. Dehumidification addresses moisture conditions; it does not automatically complete mold remediation, contaminated-water cleanup or rebuilding.
