Roof repair and mitigation have different roles
A roofer may need to investigate and repair the entry point. A cleanup provider assesses water-affected materials inside. Confirm both responsibilities before arranging work; interior drying alone does not make a roof watertight.
Attic water damage restoration
Explain whether the concern involves insulation, framing, stored belongings or a ceiling below the attic. Safe access and the condition of materials determine the assessment. Do not enter a damaged attic simply to estimate the size of the problem.
Rain-related leaks versus AC water
Water in an attic can have more than one source. Say whether the incident follows rain or occurs while cooling equipment runs. Do not assume the roof is responsible just because the damage is overhead.
Ceiling and room cleanup
If water reached living areas, identify every affected room and floor type. Ask whether the scope covers extraction, drying, material removal and later repairs, or whether additional trades will be needed.
